A volume set is a more advanced technique where a fan of multiple extensions is applied to each natural lash. These extensions are also thinner in order to ensure that the fans are lightweight and won't strain your natural lashes. Depending on your lash technician and the look you’re aiming for, this could mean anywhere between 2 to 15 extensions per natural lash (usually expressed as 2D-15D). Generally, 2D-6D is the most common range for volume sets. Anything higher than 6D is sometimes referred to as Mega Volume or Russian Volume.

Compared to the classic set, a volume set provides a more dramatic, fuller, and fluffier look. Volume sets are perfect for individuals who enjoy wearing full-coverage make-up frequently. Some clients who have naturally sparse lashes may also choose a volume set to help increase the fullness of their lashes. In these cases, the fullness of the set may be limited depending on what your natural lashes can support.

Performing volume sets require a considerable amount of skill and it’s important for you to find an experienced lash artist for this. Some lash technicians may use pre-made/pro-made fans to make the process easier and faster. Generally, if the pre-made fans are handmade by a skilled technician, they are safe to use. However, some store bought pre-made fans can be bulky and heavy which might strain the natural lash.

The Lash Lift is a semi-permanent treatment that gives your natural lashes an illusion of perfectly curled lashes with added definition. It is a great alternative to eyelash extensions, as it requires very little maintenance and has long lasting results. The formula is conditioning, nourishing, paraben and formaldehyde free.

WHO WOULD BE A GREAT CANDIDATE FOR THE LASH LIFT?
The Lash Lift is for clients that are pleased with the length of their natural lashes but want a semi-permanent curled, enhanced mascara look. It is not recommended for chemotherapy clients.

HOW LONG DOES THE LASH LIFT PROCEDURE TAKE?
The procedure takes approximately 45-60 minutes.

WILL IT DAMAGE MY NATURAL LASHES?
No, a certified and trained Beautylife Lash Lift specialist will perform the procedure with proper care and technique.

WHAT IS THE MAINTENANCE WITH THE LASH LIFT?
This procedure requires very little maintenance and is perfect for anyone that doesn’t have time for regular upkeep. The Lash Lift will last 6-8 weeks, depending on your lash cycle. Please note that lash serums, biotin, and/or medication(s) can affect the lash cycle, resulting in quicker lash shedding.

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER MY LASH LIFT?
Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24 hours. Avoid steam rooms and saunas; overall, refrain from all heat. After 24 hours, you may go about with your daily routine. The Lash Lift has no restrictions or maintenance like eyelash extensions.

CAN MASCARA BE APPLIED AFTER THE PROCEDURE?
Allow 24 hours before applying any type of product to your lashes. After 24 hours, you may apply mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow, or any type of makeup products you desire; it will not affect the lashes.

Which Soap To Use With Eyelash Extensions
Oils can degrade the bond created by eyelash adhesives over time. So, when you’re showering, always take care to use oil-free soap solutions around the eyes.
Also, avoid creamy soaps as they can interfere with the adhesion capacity of the cyanoacrylate-based lash glue. It’s better to avoid body washes and soaps around your eyes to be on the safe side.
You can also invest in a water-based face washing solution to maximize the retentiveness of lash extensions.

We always recommend a professional removal for eyelash extensions. The at-home methods have been unsuccessful for so many people and have caused damage to the natural eyelashes. When people think of removing them with oil since oil breaks down the surgical-grade glues, they don’t realize that this is a process that happens over time. The oil on our eyelids or cosmetic products like cleansers or moisturizers eventually breaks down the glue over a few to several days, but not right away. That’s why many people experience premature shedding and damage when they try to remove them at home. Yet, an inexpensive appointment with a Beautylife will not take more than 20 minutes and the remover we use will make them slide right off, leaving your natural lashes happy and safe!

Nevertheless, if you are in a bind and can’t get in to have them professionally removed, you can remove them at home as well, if you follow the right instructions.
